Rhonda Kay Smith

Rhonda K. Smith went home to the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2025. She was born on June 5, 1949, in Odessa, Tx to Ernest and Mildred Ullrich. She had many adventures in her younger days, she loved water skiing, was an avid bowler and an amateur flyer. She was a proud graduate of Monterey High School in Lubbock, TX. After high school Rhonda then went on to graduate from South Plains College with her accounting degree, she then became the Executive Director of the American Red Cross of Lea County, NM.

Rhonda was blessed by her 3 adoring children, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. In her 75 years on this earth, she has touched countless lives and was a doting mother to many. Her hard-working hands are now at rest. She loved, she laughed, and she lived. Rhonda was loved and adored by so many and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Mildred Ullrich and her daughter Robin Kelley of Lubbock, Tx.

She is survived by those who will carry on her memory; her loving husband Troy and their loyal companion Jack, son Chris (Kendra) Kelley of Tyler, Tx. Daughter Rene (Billy) Dearing of Midland and her favorite sister Brenda.
