Pauline Moore Myers was born November 8, 1920 in Hale County, Texas. She graduated from West Texas State University (West Texas A & M University) in 1941 with a degree in Business Administration and secondary Education and minor in English. After six years of teaching business subjects in Plemons, Texas and King City, Missouri, she became Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools, Midland Independent School District, Midland, Texas in 1951 and retired from this position in 1982.
She married Paul E. Myers of King City, Missouri in Amarillo, Texas on November 20, 1943. They lived in San Antonio and King City, Missouri, before moving to Midland in 1951 where they resided until his death in 2012. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary on November 20, 1993 with a month’s tour of England, Scotland, Ireland, Southern Germany, and Austria.
Pauline Moore Myers passed away in a Residential Care Center in Andrews, Texas.
Pauline is survived by her two sisters, Ruth Dygert of Dallas, Texas and Wilma Lehman of Conroe, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
