Patricia Ann "Pat" Clark

Patricia Ann Rushing Clark passed from this life on June 12, 2023, in Midland, TX. Pat, or Tricie as her nieces and nephews called her, was born on May 3, 1941, in Brown County, TX, to James Goldburn Rushing and Bertha Parson Rushing on the family farm. She graduated from Blanket High School in 1959.

Pat went to cosmetology school in Brownwood, TX, and after receiving her license, she moved to Midland, TX, in 1961 to start her career. She “did hair” for over 55 years, most of those years in her own salon, Pa-Don’s. Pat formed many lifelong friendships during her career.

After moving to Midland, Pat met the love of her life, Larry Clark. They were married on September 2, 1966, and were together until Larry’s death in April 2000.

Pat is survived by her beloved stepson, Chastel Clark of Midland, and beloved grandson, Morgen Clark of Boulder, CO. She is also survived by her nieces – Norma Cantwell, Belva Swanner, Nancy Guffey, Carolyn O’Neal, Peggy DeHay, Beverly Olson, Charlotte Massey, Phyllis Adams and Carmen Morris and her nephews - Greg May and Dell Webber as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews and other family members.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and in-laws; her brother Doyle Rushing, and her sisters, Bernice Cantwell, Elouise May, Pearl Bobo, and Ima Jean Turner; her nephew, Gene Cantwell; and her niece, Deborah Alfrey.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14 from 4:00 pm -6:00 pm at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 4616 N. Big Spring Street, Midland, TX, 79705. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park at a later date. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers of Interim Health Care Hospice and the Midland Memorial Hospital nursing staff.
