Norma Lea Stewart

She was born on November 1, 1930, in Elkhart, Kansas to Willard and Juanita Wilks Smith. She was raised a Kansas farm girl until our dad Jim Stewart came along and swept her off her feet. She moved around place-to-place chasing Drilling rigs with Pop. They had 4 children together as they moved from place to place including Kansas, Michigan, and finally to Midland Texas in 1968. She was always a housewife who stayed home and took care of her children and the house while our dad worked. She enjoyed Bowling with her friends and being at Lake Brownwood. She was a true Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn fan, thus blue being her favorite color. She and Dad were great-grandparents, always taking their grandchildren on vacation, from camping to horse races and driving for miles. They both were the best hosts at their lake house surrounded by bluebonnets, making so many beautiful memories.

Norma was preceded in death by her Husband Jim Stewart, daughter Patsy Savage, Grand Daughter Jamie Seale, Grandson Jeremy Stewart, and both of her parents, Willard and Juanita Wilks and both brothers

Norma is survived by daughter Vickie Waisner and husband Raymond, daughter Kim Stewart and husband Ed, Son Craig Stewart, and wife Nora.

Her grandchildren, Darren Waisner, Daryl Waisner, Amber Locke, Brian Savage, Jeff Savage, Bryce Seale, Micah Stewart, Jamin Jones, Chely Jones Alex Luna, Lora Ramon, Neomi Alvenda numerous great-grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

Thank you to Midland Medical Lodge for taking care of my mom for the last two years and for Hospice during her final days comfort. The family is truly grateful for all the care and kindness.

A public visitation for Norma will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4616 N Big Spring Street, Midland, Texas 79705. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 4, 2023 at 9:00 AM, 4616 N Big Spring Street, Midland, Texas 79705. A burial will occur Friday, August 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Serenity Memorial Cemetery, 6800 S. Tx-349, Midland, Texas 79706.
