Marvin Carl Duff

Marvin Carl “Papa” Duff, 96 of Midland, Texas passed away on August 4, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Maramec, Oklahoma on March 5, 1925 to the union of Carl and Frieda Tensfield. He spent his career in Texas oil industry. He married Kathrine Tyner and together they raised three children Ron, Steve and Janice. He divided his time between Midland and Colorado. He loved the Rocky Mountains. His favorite pastime was hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Marvin was a loving husband father grandfather and great grandfather he was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Frieda, his wife Kathrine, his sister Doris, sons Ron and Steve, Granddaughter Angela and great grand grandsons Jonathan and Byron.

He is survived by his daughter Janice Renfro and husband, Dale, daughter in law Sheri, grandchildren Kevin, Billy and wife, Sage, Chris and wife, Heidi, Justin and wife, Alex, Jeremy and wife, Emily, step grandsons Jason and wife, Heather, Danny and wife, Olga and a host of other great grandchildren.

A public visitation for Marvin will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy, Midland, Texas 79701. A graveside will occur Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, Texas.
