Janice was born in Eunice, New Mexico in July 30, 1952. She graduated from Jal High school in 1970. She married Martin Aldridge on May 18th, 1972. They spent the first year of their marriage stationed at Fort Ord, California before making their home in Midland, Texas in 1973. Janice was employed with the same company, as an Oil Scout for 43 years before retiring from IHS (Information Handling Services) in 2016. Together Martin and Janice raised two daughters, Misty and Mindy. Anyone who knew Janice, knew that she loved Jesus with all her heart, mind, and soul. And we find peace in knowing she opened her eyes in glory; and what a joyous reunion she had! To know her was to love her.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother Albert and Pat Lord, and her mother and father-in law Warren and Marion Aldridge. And one incredibly special nephew who was more a son, Wesley Shane Lord.
Left to cherish all the wonderful and beautiful memories are her husband Martin Aldridge, daughter Misty Franks married to Jody Franks of Midland, and daughter Mindy Webb married to Shane Webb of Midland, brothers Dan (Linda) Lord of El Paso and Alan (Nancy) Lord of Katy, Don (Vicki) Aldridge of Brighton, Colorado, Stephen (Karla) Aldridge of Jal, New Mexico, and Andy (Marcia) Aldridge of Las Vegas. She has three beautiful granddaughters, Grace Franks, and Toni, and HayLee Webb. And one great-grandson, Rowdy Clark as well as several cousins and a multitude of friends. Our lives are forever changed without her presence and a huge void is left in our lives. But we find peace in knowing she is dancing with Jesus.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Ellis Funeral Home. Graveside services at Resthaven Cemetery will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
