Maria Elena Montoya Luna

Maria was born on August 1, 1942. She was a homemaker. She loved spending time with family, telling stories to her children and grandchildren. She also liked cooking, sewing, ceramics and gardening.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus Montoya and Ester Montoya, three brothers and two sisters.

Maria is survived by her children Evangelina Enriquez, Maria Elena Torres, Avelino Garcia, Jr., Yolanda Lara, Angelita Garcia, Consuelo Reyna, Elida Herrera, Melissa Hernandez, Alberto Hernandez, Jr., Ignacio Reyna, Sylvia Parra, Robert Berry, 42 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and four sisters.

Visitations will be held at Ellis Funeral Home; viewing on Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., rosary 7-9 p.m., August 21, 2014. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 22, 2014, 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial Services to follow at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Manuel Flores, Jr., Jerry Enriquez, Jr., Avelino Garcia, Jr., Arturo Ochoa, Jr., Ryan Hernandez, Israel Holguin, Armando Arciga, and Jesse Rubio, Jr.

She will be greatly missed and always remembered and loved.
