She was born June 16, 1938 in Banderas, Mexico. She moved to Midland from El Paso as a teenager. She met and married Antonio Aguilar Mata. Together they had seven children and twenty great-grandchildren.
Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Aguilar Mata; father, Cesario DeAnda.
She is survived by her mother, Virginia DeAnda of Midland; sons, Tony Mata; Orlando Mata and wife Gracie; Alex and Pat Mata; Johnny Mata, all of Midland; daughters, Gracie Quilimaco and husband John; Angie Mata; Dina and Jaime Guevara, all of Midland; brothers, Ramon DeAnda, Trini DeAnda and wife Nestora, all of Midland; sisters, Petra DeAnda; Adelaida Webster and husband Randy; Irma DeAnda and Mary DeAnda; grandchildren, Leah Borrego, Johnny Quilimaco, Jeremy Quilimaco, Brandi Guevara, Amanda Guevara, Crystal Guevara, Gabby Guevara, Stephen Mata, Evan Mata, Alex Mata, Jacob Mata, Sarah Mata, Jonathan Mata, John Michael Mata, Criselda Mata, Johnny Mata, Xavius Mata, Ashley Mata, Johnny Mata, Jr., and Gabriel Mata; extended family, Daniel Mata, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
