Kenneth Lance Patterson was born January 14, 1969 in Big Spring, Texas and passed away suddenly on November 29, 2011. Lance was a very laid back, compassionate and all-around good guy. Lance was a talented artist and bass guitar player and played with Pumpjack for years. He truly enjoyed music and being with people whom he loved. Lance had the opportunity with the band Pumpjack to be a part of Ozzfest, and they opened for several famous bands – Pantera, Anthrax, and W.A.S.P. just to name a few. Lance just loved to be around happy people, whether they were people he had known for years or new faces in the crowd.
Everyone who knew Lance loved him. He always had a smile on his face and would hug you like he hadn’t seen you in years (even if he had just seen you yesterday). Lance lived his life surrounded by family and friends always. He was not a loner at all – the more people around, the better! He would do anything with his friends and family whether it was fishing, bowling, swimming, watching movies, or even skiing. He just wanted to laugh and be surrounded by happiness.
Lance Patterson is survived by his wife, Nancy Patterson and stepchildren, Tres and Lauren. He is also survived by his parents, Ken and Sylvia Patterson; his brother and sister-in-law, Monty and Chali Patterson, along with his niece and nephew, Abby and Logan Patterson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 2:00p.m. at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at: www.ellisfunerals.com.
