Joyce Moore, 85, of Midland died Friday, October 11, 2013. She laid down for a night’s rest in her bed at home but awoke in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father for all eternity. She was born on January 18, 1928, to Carl and Lela Clardy in Loraine, Texas.
Her goal was to lead a life fashioned around her favorite book in the Bible, Philippians, especially verses 4:6,4: 7, and 4:13. Joyce led a full life, caring for others and making friends wherever she went. Always ahead of her time, at age 31 and the only female there, Joyce owned and operated an International Harvester dealership in Stanton, TX. After she sold the business, she became a successful real estate associate and broker for 25 years in Midland. After retiring from the business world, she spent many years being active with church and family. Among her many blessings, she counted her friends from Sunday School and bridge playing, and her years of service to Hospice of Midland,
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 50 years, Jay Moore, and her daughter, Barbara Moore Wilkinson.
As an only child herself, Joyce was especially proud to be the matriarch of the following list of survivors.
