Jerry was born in Healdton, Oklahoma on May 14, 1944 to Leon and Virgie Lloyd. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved teaching children's Sunday school at First Baptist, Midland, and caring for her husband, pets, and home. She enjoyed working in the yard, walking the dogs, and visiting with friends and neighbors. Jerry will be deeply missed by all those that knew her.
Survivors include her mother Virgie; husband, W. H. “Pick" Pickering; daughter Shelley and husband Mike of Dallas; daughter Misty and husband Stephen of Kerrville; daughter Katherine and husband Steven of Madisonville; grandchildren Lauren, Hanna, Stephen, Claire, Ana, Samuel, Jacob, and Andrew; brother George and sister Linda; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Leon.
Jerry willed her body to the Texas Tech Health Science Center and no service is planned. Memorial donations may be made to the Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals, 4200 N. Fairgrounds Rd., Midland, TX 79705, 432-683-7387.
