Janie Sotelo

She met John "Ruben" Sotelo at work and they were married in 1988 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching television, especially movies on the Hallmark channel, shopping and walking. Janie especially treasured traveling and making memories with her children. She was very generous and would do anything to help her family.

Janie retired from the City of Midland where she worked in the water department. She was a faithful member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church.

Janie is survived by her husband of 36 years, John R. Sotelo; sons, Adolfo Garcia and John Michael Sotelo and wife Shelby; daughters, Jessica Medina and husband Angel and Sarah Sotelo and husband Cesar Rodriguez; brothers, George Bill Jr. and wife Sylvia, Robert Bill and wife Luz, Paul Bill, and Raymond Bill; sister, Mary Bill; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; and her German Shepard, Louie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frances Morales and George Bill Sr.; brother, Joe Bill; and sister, Rosa Gallegos.

A public visitation will be held at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A memorial Mass will take place at St. Stephen's Catholic Church on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 am.
