Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Wilshire Park Baptist Church, 801 S. Bentwood in Midland with Bro. Glenn Pipes officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Midland directed by Ellis Funeral Home. Condolences can be made at: www.ellisfunerals.com.
Gloria was born May 10, 1946 in Hobbs, New Mexico to the late Milford T. Fullerton and Ruby Victor. She was a 1964 graduate of Permian High School. She was an Outreach Coordinator with Maximus/Texas Heath Steps Program for 11 years. She loved her job and loved being able to help other find the funds and the help that people may have needed. She was a long time member of Wilshire Park Baptist Church. She was very much involved with Women on Missions and volunteered her time with several organizations within the church.
Gloria married Raymond Kennedy in 1964 and during that marriage they had two children, Gary T. Kennedy and Melisa D. Kennedy Wilson.
Gloria loved Jesus and would have wanted everyone to know about the free gift of eternal salvation that God offers each of us. She never met a stranger, was always willing to help anyone in need. Gloria was a breast cancer survivor and a member of the “Young and the Breastless” team. She was very active in Relay for Life walks in various locations of the state with her team. Gloria had been involved with Emmaus walks for many years and will be missed by the many friends she has made during those walks.
Preceding her in death was her father, Milford T. Fullerton.
Gloria leaves behind her son, Gary T. Kennedy of Midland; daughter, Melisa D. Wilson and husband, Robby, of Jonestown, Texas; her mother, Ruby Victor of Midland; her brother, Roy Fullerton and wife, Sharon, of Cedar Park, Texas; and brother, Mike Fullerton and wife, Debbie, of Georgetown, Texas. She had 6 grandchildren, Ernest Newton, Heather Newton, Chelsea Maez, Jared Maez, Christian Maez, and Conner Kennedy. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Gloria’s sweet smile, laugh, and caring heart will be missed by all.
