Gabriel was born on February 28, 2003 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He accomplished many things in the 9 years of his life. Gabriel was an amazing artist, he loved to sing and dance for his family and friends. When the opportunity came for him to show off his dance moves he was front and center. He had an unbelievably large collection of cars. His police cars, task force, and SWAT cars were his favorites. Gabriel also loved to read, especially factual books. Talk to him about any shark and he would know everything about it. Gabriel loved everything about the military and law enforcement. Anyone who knew Gabriel knew he could be found “geared up”, running around planning “attacks”, and playing sniper, waiting for his shot. Gabriel loved playing baseball and football. Baseball was his favorite. Gabriel loved to spend time with his family and could not wait for those weekends at his Nana and Papa’s house. Gabriel especially loved the holidays because he knew all of his cousins would be there to play with him all day long. Gabriel was an excellent student and his teachers and classmates would vouch for that. These few lines are just a little bit about our Gabe. We love him and he will forever be missed.
Gabriel was preceded in death by his great grandfather Alberto Hernandez and his great grandmother Pat Trevino.
He is survived by his parents Juan and Krista Gomez, his sisters Emilie Gomez and Sophie Gomez, and his grandparents Albert and Cecilia Hernandez. He is also survived by his aunts Des, Lily, Sarah, Dre, and Hali; his cousins J(Aiyana), Ari, Nelly(Ny’elle), Bubba(Nathan), Jett, Jordan, Zyra, and Sara.
