Edith (Watley) Williams, 83, of Midland passed away June 27, 2013. She was born on February 17, 1930 in Hall County, Texas to Tom Watley and Evelyn Watley. She attended Dickens High School. She married Elmer Eugene Williams on June 8, 1947 in Dickens, Texas. Edith was a hairdresser. She was a long time member of Westside Church of Christ. Edith was a volunteer for meals on wheels.
She is preceded in death by her husband on December 3, 2011, her parents and a brother, J.W. “Dub” Watley.
Those left behind to honor and cherish her memory are her sons, Larry Eugene Williams of Euless, Texas and Rickey Williams of Midland, Texas; her brother, Howard Kenneth Watley of Floresville, Texas. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Monday, July 1 at Ellis Funeral Home between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm. A funeral service has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 2 at 10:00am at Westside Church of Christ. Interment will be Resthaven Memorial Park of Midland.
