Dorothy held many occupations during her lifetime but her true devotion lay with God and her family. Her joys in life came as a wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma (GG), reader and avid card player. Dorothy will be sorely missed by those who loved her but will never be gone for those whose lives she blessed.
Dorothy was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on January 27, 1941. She married Willard Galloway on June 15, 1963; they were married for 53 years.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, William Bell and Lillian Coons, as well as her sister Doris Moody, her brother Wesley Brown and her beloved granddaughter Katrina Lathram.
She is survived by her husband Willard; daughter, Pamela Lathram (Curtis); daughter, Mae Small (Dave); son, Roy (Stacy); her grandchildren, Gabrial Lathram (Kayla), Travis Lathram (Tiffany), Jonathan Small (Kelly), Jeremy Small, Jessica Van Earwage, Lindsey Harrison, Luke Harrison, Megan Galloway, and Makayla Galloway; six great grandchildren; her brother, Dick Brown and his wife Joyce and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, September 7 at Ellis Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service, which will be a celebration of Dorothy’s life, at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 8 at 10 AM and will be officiated by Dave Small.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be presented to your local Salvation Army or to the charity of your choice.
