Don Hector Miller

Don Hector Miller, 87, of Midland went to be with his Lord Jesus on December 16, 2013. He was born in Crews, Texas on May 11, 1926 to Hector R. Miller and Grace Mitchell Miller. Don grew up in Coleman, Texas. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was an independent trucker and most recently leased his truck through Weaver Trucking until he retired in 1999.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Bob Miller and sisters, Mary Davis and Billie Ruth Stone.

Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Jean Miller; his son, Jerry Miller and wife Donna of Weatherford; his daughter, Donna Minnick and husband Edwin of Midland; his son, Steve Miller and wife Sheila of Lubbock; and his grandchildren: Joshua Miller, Garrett Miller, Hayden Miller, Collins Miller, Nathan Maples, Amanda Bruton, John Minnick and wife Tamara. He also leaves behind numerous, much loved, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chiloa, Dr. Ganta and the staff at MMH for their kindness and excellent care.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17 between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18 at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Ellis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park North.
