Cindy R. Chilcoat

She leaves behind her husband, Steve Chilcoat and son James Chilcoat.

Cindy was born on July 7, 1972 in Amarillo, Texas. She was raised by her grandparents Jean and Walter Rankin. They moved to Midland in 1974. Cindy attended Midland High School and graduated in 1991. She married Steve, her high school sweetheart, on February 19, 1993. Their son James was born in 1994 and son Michael in 1996.

Cindy loved to keep busy with crafts, baking and gardening. She had a talent for specialty themed cakes which she made for family and friends. She spent time gardening both flowers and vegetables which she would also share with friends and family. During the week, Cindy would enjoy her son’s sporting events. On the weekends, Steve and Cindy would join friends on their motorcycle for long rides. She also enjoyed camping trips with her family and recently spent two weeks in Alaska which was a dream destination for her.

Cindy is survived by her husband, son, mother in law, Ann Chilcoat and sister in law, Kathy Hamlin and husband Mark.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, son, Michael and father in law, Jim Chilcoat.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Ellis Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service held at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 19, 2017 officiated by Pastor Danny Bisbee. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
