Charles Edward Hines

Charles was born in Detroit, Texas on February 8, 1936. His family moved to Midland in 1950 where he attended Midland High School and met his wife to be, Wanda Allen. They graduated and were married and have celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Charles served his country in the Army and was stationed in the demilitarized zone of North Korea post conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1961.

Charles is survived by his wife Wanda Faye Hines; his three children and their spouses, Christopher and Kendra Hines, Clifton and Angela Hines and Charlotte Hines and Shae Petty; as well as his grandchildren, Brandon Hines, Brooke Hines, Casey Jones, Shelby Jones and Brayleigh Annice Petty and his two older sisters Virginia McPeak and Phila Parr.

The visitation will be held at Ellis Funeral Home on Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday April 13, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, Texas.
