He went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2015.
He graduated from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls where he met Doris LaVelle Boggs. They were married on March 24, 1950. She preceded him in death in 1989.
Carl served his country in the U.S. Navy in WWII and had many close navy buddies that served with him. He loved and attended many Navy reunions all over the country.
He moved his family to Midland in 1963 where he was a Landman with Gulf Oil and Chevron for over 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and will be dearly missed.
The family would like to give special thanks to the people at Cimarron Place who cared for and were friends to Carl for the past two years and to Mary Cavazos, caregiver and friend.
He is survived by one daughter Karen Trout and husband Leonard of Midland; one son Michael Rodman Banks and wife Kathy of Tomball; five grandchildren, Kevin Trout of Dallas, Krystal DeLeon and husband Jaime of Tomball; Michael Trout and wife Ashley of Ft. Worth, Justin Banks and wife Jazmin stationed at Ft Riley, Kansas with the U.S. Army, and Marcus Banks stationed in Bahrain with the U.S. Navy; three great grandchildren, Evan DeLeon and Tatum and Tessa Trout; and one sister Joan Foster of Wichita Falls, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday July 12, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, July 13, 2015, 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Chapel in Midland.
