Betty Anne Taylor McKinney

Betty Anne Taylor McKinney died in her home in Cleburne, Texas on February 12, 2015. She was 78 years old. Betty was born in Midland, Texas to AB and Edith Irene “Renie” Taylor on November 15, 1936. She married Bobby Joe “Smokey” McKinney on December 21, 1957 and they had three sons. Betty was a member South Walnut Street Church of Christ in Cleburne, Texas.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, AB and Renie Taylor, her husband, Bobby Joe “Smokey” McKinney and several aunts and uncles.

Betty is survived by her three sons, all of Fort Worth, Texas; Larry and wife Gaye, and their children Taylor and Tara McKinney. Dale and Sandi, and their children, Sarita Dombrowski and husband Frankie, Shauna Keely and her husband Glen, and Zachary McKinney, and son Gary McKinney. She is also survived by six great grandchildren with another one on the way, and two great-great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her three brothers and three sisters, Harold Taylor and wife Mary, Edwin Taylor, Rick Taylor, Patricia Todd, Sharon Baze, and Vicki Turner and husband Tom as well as many nieces and nephews.

Betty and her family wish to thank the many people who cared for her during her illness; her family and Mission Hospice of Cleburne.

Service will be held at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM, Melvin Blalock and Duane Permenter officiating, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Taylor McKinney, Zachary McKinney, Joel Blalock, Phillip Permenter, Bret Baze, Dustin Turner, Michael Todd and Kevin Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Taylor, Sam Whitling, and Jeff Baze.
