Betty Bik Har Gee

Betty Gee was born in Kwongton, China on September 10, 1938 and immigrated to Midland in 1968 with her family. Betty’s father, Richard A. Yee, was one of the founders of the Blue Star Inn restaurant, which opened in 1952 and closed in 2010.

Betty is survived by her husband Ronny Gee; son Timothy Gee and his spouse Lisa; and their children Nicholas and Matthew. Betty is also survived by her brother Allan Yee and his spouse Jeanie; niece Linda Yee Villa and her spouse Joe Villa and their child Noah; niece Helen Yee and niece Debbie Yee and her spouse Chris Wood. Betty is also survived by her brother Gary Yee and his spouse Pam; niece Kelli Ha and her spouse Thuan Ha and their children Maddie and Audrey; and niece Jamie Yee. Betty is also survived by her sister Becki Ernst and her spouse Bob Ernst; niece Tiffani Lindsey and her spouse Larry Lindsey and their children Avery and Trace; nephew Jason Tucker and his spouse Christine and their children Ryan and Olive.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15 from 5-9 PM at Ellis Funeral Home. The funeral service will also be held at Ellis Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16 at 9 AM followed by a graveside burial held at Resthaven Memorial Park.
