She was born on March 21, 1937, in Matador, Texas, to the late Mr. Carter Clay Murphy and Mrs. Audrey Lee Murphy. She graduated from Rankin High School in 1955, and later graduated from business school in Fort Worth, Texas. She met the love of her life, Vancel Larry Foster, in 1956, and they married in 1957. Audrey and Vancel Larry Foster founded and grew a successful small business, Petroplex Acidizing, an oil well service company. Audrey had many caring and loving friends and loved the game of golf. Through out the years, Audrey selflessly helped and supported untold numbers of individuals in need of help.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Vancel Larry Foster; her sister, Martha Farris; her three children, Cheryl Cunningham, and spouse Tony Cunningham, Gregory Foster, and spouse Gina Foster, and Tracy Law, and spouse Jimmy Law.
Audrey adored, and was adored by, her eight grandchildren, Justin Cunningham, and spouse Emily Cunningham, Kyle Cunningham, and spouse Shelley Cunningham, Danny Law, Ashton Foster, and spouse Kelsey Foster, Stephanie Law, and fiance Todd Pace, Lacy Law, Josh Foster and Brianna Foster.
She immensely loved and enjoyed her two great grandchildren, Hunter Cunningham and Krista Law.
She was preceded in death by her loving brother, Donald Murphy
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Highway, Midland, Texas, with burial to follow at Resthaven. The service will be officiated by Pastor David Harp of First Baptist Church, Stanton, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to The Springboard Center, 200 Corporate Drive, Midland, Texas.
