

Annie Mae Wallace, who would have been 92 years of age on January 10, 2011, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Annie was born in Sylverena, Mississippi on January 10, 1919 and moved to Midland in 1925; she remained a Midlander until death. She met and married Doyle A. Wallace of Midland in 1936. Our Mother will be remembered for always being there for family and friends in their time of need. She loved plants and flowers, and was often in the yard, planting, cutting or trimming. She loved to sew, crochet, play dominoes and cards with friends, and in later years loved going to the Senior Citizens to socialize with friends; she especially loved ceramic classes. She loved to learn new things and had many talents. She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle, daughter Doris Jordan, and son-in-law Charlie Bennet, and brother, John C. Hancock. She is survived by her children, Eva (Wallace) Bennett of Katy, TX; Dr. Arnold Wallace and wife Dianne of Royse City, TX; son-in-law, Jim Jordan of Midland and Cody Wallace and wife Melissa of Midland; Grandchildren are Craig Bennett, Dana Morrey, Sherry Sain, Mary Grizzle, Rebecca Perez, Amanda Medrano, Shawn Wallace, Tiffany Nottingham, Leslie Oden, Jeffrey Jordan, Andrew Wallace, Casey Wallace, Chelsi Wallace, and Matthew Wallace; fifteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Also, three very special sister-in-laws, Daphne Wallace and Pat Wallace of Midland, and Mertise Hancock of Hemphill, TX. Family would like to express our gratitude to neighbors Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Skaggs, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Holidey, and Mr. & Mrs. James Stark. Annie will always remain in our hearts.
