Ann T. Praisnar (83) loving wife and mother passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of June 23rd, 2022. She was surrounded by her husband, family and friends. Ann was born Florence Ann Taylor on July 29, 1938, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ann married Adam Praisnar Jr. on December 9, 1976.
Ann is survived by her husband Adam, her four children: Jane Houston and her husband Kevin of Imperial, Texas; Lexie Latimer and partner Adolfo Riquiena of Cape Coral, Florida; Jeff Latimer and his wife Michelle of Sugar Land, Texas; and Anne Englert of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren include: Jo Lynn Price of Odessa, Texas; and Jordan Latimer and Tyler Latimer both of Sugar Land, Texas; two great-grandchildren: Holly Brauchi of Odessa, Texas and Cole Brauchi of Imperial, Texas. Ann is also survived by her two brothers; Jim Harris and his wife Beth of Odessa, Texas; Forest Taylor and his wife Cathy of Decatur, Texas; and sister Judy Ray of Butler, Oklahoma.
Ann had a heart of gold and loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and will be missed by all who loved her.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother Authula Atherene “Jonnie” Harris, her father James Truman Harris and sister Becky Perron of Anderson, California.
Ann graduated Midland High School in 1956 and later earned an associate degree in general studies from Midland College. In 1994 she passed the formal exam and met the requirement to be certified as a Professional Legal Secretary.
Ann was a member of Fannin Terrace Baptist church where she and Adam married in 1976.
She began her professional career working for the Stanton County Judge. In 1964 she worked at the children’s home in Portales, NM. Over the next 20 plus years, she worked at various oil and gas companies including Tenneco and Mid-America Petroleum and started a partnership with Margaret Rikli at Geo-Sec in the early 1970’s.
She was a detail oriented professional and regarded as an asset by her colleagues and employers. After nearly 14 years of service, she retired at the age of 65 from the law firm of Michael H. Atnipp where she provided professional legal secretary services.
Ann was a talented pianist and artist. She enjoyed various art projects including ceramics, oil and tole painting, and interior design. When Ann was not creating art, she volunteered her professional legal secretary skills at legal aid offices.
Memorial services have been scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Saturday July 9, 2022, at Fannin Terrace Baptist Church. 2800 Mogford Street, Midland, Tx 79705. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
