Ann Miscevich Baker was born in Warren, Ohio on December 10, 1920 To Barbara and Branko Miscevich. She was an avid sports fan having won 4 State Championships as a strike out artist for a semi-pro softball team from 1937-1941.
Ann married the love of her life, Maylon S. Baker Jr. on May 20, 1947. They had two children, Barbara Ann Faubion of Austin and Dennis J. Baker and his wife, Vanessa of Midland. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Cheryl Thomas and her husband, Chanse of Austin, Sean Faubion of Austin and Leland Baker of Midland. She had two great grandchildren, Colby and Chandler of Austin.
Ann was known for the love she had for her God and her compassion for all the stray animals which she fed, spayed and neutered in her lifetime. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lone Star Animal Shelter, Noah’s Arc or a shelter of your choice.
A rosary will be held at 7:00p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 17, 2014. Services are scheduled for 10:00a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
