She is survived by her beloved daughters, Michele (John) Millisor of Maineville; Eugenia Johnson of Maineville; Leslie (Tom) Glendening of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and brother, James Nolan of Marion. Shirley was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and the adoring great-grandmother (Gigi) of sixteen great-grandchildren. Shirley's love for her family was immeasurable. She found immense joy in nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she always strived to provide the best for her girls. Her compassionate spirit extended beyond her family. After retiring from AudSam Printing, Shirley dedicated much of her time to volunteering, writing heartfelt cards and delivering flowers to the elderly in her community. Her acts of kindness brought comfort and happiness to many. A devout Christian, Shirley's faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of her life. Her belief in His teachings and her love for Him were evident in her actions and the way she lived her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and compassion.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dr. Craig Johnson, her brothers, Eugene "Beanie" Nolan, and William "Dick" Nolan, her sisters Marjorie Yanai, Lee Thibaut and 3 infant sisters.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Otterbein Senior Living of Maineville and Hospice of Cincinnati. A very special thank you to her dear friend, Judy Bean of Marion, whose daily phone calls were incredibly kind and made her feel so loved. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her family takes solace in
knowing they will be reunited with her in what will seem like moments to her. To our beloved mom, we are excited for you! Give Jesus a hug for us until we meet again and to echo your saying… “Love you, love you, love you!”
A private family celebration of Shirley’s life will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to her daughter’s ministry, HIS Dance Academy, reflecting Shirley’s generous and loving spirit and her desire to reach children for Christ. https://www.hisdance.org/become-a-friend-of-his-dance
