Bob was born in Middletown, Ohio on March 21, 1927 to the late John E. and Anna (Adams) Henderson. He was a graduate of Monroe High School and served in the US Army during World War II, stationed in Berlin at the end of the war. After the war he worked at Armco Steel in Middletown, Ohio as an over-head crane operator. He taught scuba diving and was a deputy sheriff for Butler County doing search and rescue for several years. After retirement from Armco, he worked as a security guard in Naples, Florida.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert N. Henderson, Jr. in 1953, and his wife, Eva (Boyer) Henderson in 2021. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn (Dan) Hancock and Kathy (Mark) DeBorde-Hussong; his grandchildren, Scott (Shonce) Hancock, Robert (Lisa) Hancock, and Codi (Michael) Schroeder; his great grandchildren, Katlynn (Jake) Lamb, Kennedy Hancock, Colten Schroeder, Claire Schroeder, Casee Schroeder, and Calvin Schroeder and his great -great grandson, Brooks Lamb.
Visitation will be 10-11 am on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street, Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am with Mark Hussong officiating. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery.
