Carolyn Jean Melton

Born January 8, 1946, to Kash and Thelma Honshul. Carol, to all who knew her, was a fun loving and caring individual who touched many lives. She married Jackie "Jack" Melton on August 26,1967 and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who was always there when needed.

Carol was totally dedicated to her husband and family in all aspects of their lives. She loved traveling, dancing, gardening, bowling, playing cards, dominos, and cooking. Carol was an excellent cook who enjoyed feeding anyone who walked through her door. She loved her family, friends, neighbors and her co-workers. Carol leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and a beacon of unwavering love and friendship .

She attended Trenton High School and resided in Middletown, OH with her husband and family until retiring from Otterbein Lebanon and Middletown City School. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Florida to enjoy the warm weather, beaches, golf, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kash and Thelma Honshul; brother, John Honshul, husband Jack Melton, her son, Brian Melton, and her grandson; Wyatt Sargero.

She is survived by her children, John McGlosson (Kellie), Cheryl Sargero, Dwayne Melton, brother Kash Hounshul Jr., and her grandchildren Ryan Waldner, Riley McGlosson (Kelsie) Joshua Lindon, and Nicholas Sargero as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-5 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin St., Middletown, OH 45044. A Funeral Service will follow at 5pm.
