Alice C. Suiter

Alice C. Suiter, age 89 of Middletown, passed away Sunday morning, January 14, 2024 at The Winfield at Middletown, surrounded by her family. She was born in Middletown on April 14, 1934, the daughter of Robert Cox and Ora (Lawson) Cox. Alice retired from Smurfit and Franklin Box Board. She also worked for Dr. Martin Rush. She was a member of Breiel Church.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wendell Suiter; twin brother, Dallas Cox, brothers, Fieldon Cox, Scottie Cox, and baby Boyd Cox; and a sister, Mae Frame.

She is survived by her daughters, Machelle (husband, Doug) Keener and Connie (husband, Morris) Bentley; her son, Greg (wife, Pam) Suiter; seven grandchildren, Heather (husband, Matt) Loper, Jeremy (wife, Ashley) Suiter, Brandon (wife, Elissa) Bowlin, Joshua (wife, Crystal) Bowlin, Michael (wife, Arin) Keener, Megan (husband, Jackson) Crabill, Matthew (wife, Angie) Keener; 17 great grandchildren, Zeke Loper, Zach, Ali and Ella Suiter, Abby, Chloe, Mary, Luke, Bryson, Bronxton, Kyson and Rylan Bowlin, Macie, Madden, Zoey and Zane Keener, Owen and Westin Crabill; and her brother, Bishop William J. Cox.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Winfield for the love and care that they provided our mother during her stay with them. A special thanks to all of the great people at Hospice Care of Middletown.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home with Chaplain Barry Shafer, Family Life Pastor Matt Loper and Rev. H. Eugene Frame officiating. Visitation will start at 10:00 am Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at the Woodside Cemetery Mausoleum.
