Bob is my stepfather and "dad".  We had so many things in common and so many things that were different, but learned from each other regularly. Bobby, I will miss you and how you looked after Mom.   I will love you always and will see you again when my time comes.

Bobby was my brother in law.  He was married to my sister Faynie and they were definitely joined at the heart. They were so happy for nearly 40 years.  Buddy and I would come to Cleveland every July for the family reunion and we stayed at their home. Bobby always teased me mercilessly about putting my bed in the garage. After the reunion, we always had a pajama party at their house. Faynie, Ida, Diane and me.  One year Bobby decided we were having so much fun that he started staying up most of the night with us. I am going to miss him so much.  He taught me to play Under the Double Eagle, and said he had never seen anyone pick it up so quickly, Bob was such a magnificent musician and he shared his talent with so many.  I loved him with all my heart and life will never be the same without him. I know he is with Jesus, which is far better than being here. Go rest high on that Mountain Bobby, I miss you already. 

There are so many things I want to say. Thoughts of his good character and his subtle sense of humor. I am not sure where to start, but I can share some random memories that I have. 

Uncle Bob loved his pipe. I have long memories of seeing him smoking his pipe and that fragrant smell that would always linger. I remember seeing him playing poker at Christmas Eve and at family gatherings. I remember when I was young and he fell in love with Aunt Fayne. I remember even at a young age how I loved having an aunt like Fayne in our lives and seeing how happy he was. At times, Bob seemed quite contemplative, like he wanted to say something. When he was ready though, watch out and he’ll voice his opinion! I remember hearing lots of stories how my uncles would play in bands late at night at venues. They loved playing music together. My dad still likes playing the reels of tape of the recorded music. I think that’s why he still keeps that system set up with his stereo. I remember how Uncle Bob told us how Benny Orzechowski was in his band and taught him how to play guitar. Benny later went onto bigger things and was the bassist, co-founder, and co-lead vocalist of the rock band the Cars and became professionally Benny Orr. I also remember how jealous I was that my uncle and aunt got free tickets when The Cars were touring nearby. I also remember how he loved Dawn, and how he loved being with her at Christmas. He was dearly loved by all of his brothers. My dad, Walt, always loved the impromptu visit. Old fashioned in a way, if he was driving around and started thinking about him, he would just stop by the house. Bob & Fayne would welcome mom and dad with open arms. 

Uncle Bob, I love you and know God is looking out for you. Your will be dearly missed.

Memories of my nephew Bobby Paris go back to his teen years. He was an exemplary young man, ready to help his Uncle Walt and I as newlyweds. Thank you, Bobby for your dedication to this great family and especially for your love and devotion to Fayne and children. And thank you for your Military Service. Blessings to all. 

Bob was genuinely  a good  person I really liked knowing .

My heart felt sympathy goes out to Fayne, the family & friends of Bob. He will be sadly missed.

I don't even know how to put into words how privileged I was to have known this special, special man. Bob meant more to me than he could ever know. He was first class, all the time. He was an amazing husband, a fabulous dad, and a remarkable father-in-law. I'm going to miss you more than words can say Bob, but not to worry...I'll still be at your house, eating your food and taking it home too. I love you so much...til we meet again. XOXO

Bobby was my stepfather, older brother, and best friend. I will miss  him more than words can describe.  He was an inspiration of how to be the best. Best husband, best father, and best friend anyone could hope to have. Thank you Bobby for guiding me and helping us all in life and being the best example of what a man should aspire to be. I love you man! Tune up the guitars so we can jam when next we meet.
