Richard Lee Faloon, age 87, of Columbia Station, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. Richard was born May 22, 1934 in Fairview Park, Ohio. Son of John R. and Hazel L. (nee Hicks) (both deceased)
Dearly beloved husband for 66 years to Frances (nee Cika), loving father of Susan (Keith) MacLennan, Frances (Mark) Pompeii, John (Kathy) Faloon, and Karen (Mike) Patrick, dearest grandfather of Matthew Graham, Mary (Ronnie) Tucker, Tony (Jennifer) Pompeii, Bryan (Paige) Pompeii, Katie (Alex) Runyon, and Nick Patrick, great grandfather of Cody, Corbin, Evelyn, Malcolm, Luca, and Max, dear brother of Janet (Marvin, deceased) Fenwick, dear uncle and friend of many. Dick attended West Technical High School, Cleveland State and graduated from Kent State University. He was a teacher in the Cleveland System for 32 years. Dick was a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He belonged to the VFW Post 9871 where he was a life member, served as a trustee and was a member of their Color Guard. He was a long time member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, gardening, and his family.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 4-8 PM at Craciun Funeral Home 14925 E. Bagley Rd. Middleburg Heights, 44130. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 25801 Royalton Rd. Columbia Station 44028. Where family will greet friends 9:30 AM until time of mass 10 AM.
Mask and social distancing requested for all visiting hours and Funeral Mass.
Committal Services with full military honors will be held Wednesday 12:30 PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
