John Lamorgese

JOHN LAMORGESE, age 82. Beloved husband of Antoinette (nee Armagno). Loving father of Victoria Schroeder (Charles), and Rose Stofan (Ronald). Cherished grandfather of Emily Schmook (Joseph), Ronnie Stofan, Natalie Stofan, and Johnathan Schroeder (Abbie). Dearest great grandfather of Joseph Schmook and Sofia Schmook. Dear brother of Frank Lamorgese (Santina) (both deceased), Pasquale Lamorgese (Rosalina) (both deceased) and Onofrio Lamorgese (deceased) (Maria).

John, also known as, "Nino" grew up in Italy with his three brothers, Frank, Pasquale, and Onofrio. John came to the US when he was 19 years old. He was a hardworking welder, dedicated to his craft there was not a job that John could not do. He was proud to be able to provide for his family while enjoying his occupation. But his greatest love was sharing his life with his loving and dedicated wife of 57 years, their daughters, and their grandchildren.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. Sunday dinners were always special with great food and loving conversation around the table. Family vacations spent at the beach were most enjoyable. John loved buying fresh seafood, walks along the beach, and sharing all the special memories with his daughters and grandchildren.

Family reunions with his brothers, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews were such a great joy to him. He was so proud to share stories of his childhood growing up in Italy. He loved family reunions and was so honored that his family was so close and wanted to continue the tradition for years to come. His greatest passion was gardening. He loved to share the fruits of his labor with family and friends. John will always be remembered for his great passion for life. He was a tremendous man with honor, dignity, and dedication.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Thursday February 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends WEDNESDAY 3 - 7 PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS' FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HTS., OHIO 44130 (West of I-71).
