She was born in Cleveland on December 30, 1927 to Anna Tautkins Kish and Joseph Kish (both deceased). She graduated from Jane Addams High School in 1946 and worked in the office at the Chevy plant in Parma until her retirement in 1985. There she met her late husband Andrew (Andy) Roth. They married on March 23, 1963 and moved to North Royalton where they lived for over 50 years. After retirement, Eleanor enjoyed traveling. She and her husband frequently visited her mother in Florida. She fondly remembered a trip she took with her mother in 1956 to visit her brother Phillip who just joined the navy and was stationed in San Diego where they drove all the way to California across Route 66. Eleanor also loved animals of all kinds, and rarely was she without a dog (or four) in her home.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, sister Joanne, brother Phillip, and husband. She is survived by her nephews, Phillip (Leann) Kish, Chris (Sue) Kish, and Scott Kish, her niece Tracy Kish, as well as other extended family members and friends, many of whom she reconnected with later in life.
Thanks to Middleburg Heights Assisted Living and Suncrest Hospice for helping Eleanor in her last year.
