Wayne Storey, 81, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday July 8, 2018. He was born October 17, 1936 to Harry and Hazel Storey of Jefferson, Ga. Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Wayne loved the Lord and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Orange Park and was very active in the Lay Renewal Ministry, Via de Cristo and Kairos Prison Ministry. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Jean Storey; one son, Brian Storey, one daughter, Cindy Williams (Terry) and their families to include three grandchildren, Jason Storey, Tanner Williams and Adam Jackson, three great grandchildren, Dylan, Phoenix and Enoch. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Wayne spent his working career in finance. He was an avid football (go Dawgs) and NASCAR Racing fan.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday July 17, 2018 and funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM July 18, 2018 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME 127 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Florida 32073. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park 3601 Old Jennings Road Middleburg 32068.
