With a heavy heart, we lost a really great man today. Roy Clinton Ackerman was born on May 15, 1945 and grew up in the mountains of eastern Tennessee. He married his high school sweetheart, and they raised four wild boys together. He lived a very full, fun, and exciting life. He worked for Fluor International, which took him on adventures all over the world to places like Holland, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and more. He even brought light to Disney World. He was a very talented man, and the most intelligent one I’ve ever met. He built his own house from the ground up on Norris Lake, he even built his own speed boat from scratch. But I would have to say, his most favorite project has been a little red Pinto hot rod that brought him local fame and tons of first place trophies. We love you Dad, and we’ll miss you forever.
