Robert Lee Bullard, Jr. age 86, passed away at Orange Park Medical Center on April 13, 2021. He was born on January 4, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Lee Bullard, Sr. and Helen May Sebree Bullard. Robert dedicated 20 years of service to the United States Navy where he was a cook on a submarine, the USS Sea Robin. He attended culinary school to become a chef. After serving in the Navy, his love for cooking led him to open his own deli, Victorian Deli, in Howell, Michigan, where he was born. Making people happy with good food was one of his loves.
In addition to cooking and baking, Robert loved to fish and go boating. He owned a few boats in his life, and created many great memories out on the water. He loved his dog, Taz, who was the perfect companion. Overall, Robert loved having fun, enjoyed life, and surrounded himself with people who felt the same.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, his beloved Sharon, beloved son Ray, his daughter Mary, and his faithful companion, Taz. He is survived by Minnie, Marion & Carol, along with 8 children and their spouses, 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A committal service will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
