Phyllis Bugg Engle, 86, passed away June 30, 2019. She was born December 24, 1932 in Lexington, Kentucky and resided in Orange Park, Florida. Phyllis spent most of her career as the financial secretary for St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Terrace Park, Ohio. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends, singing in the church choir, serving on multiple church committees, and watching sporting events. Most of all she enjoyed being a part of her grandchildren’s lives. Phyllis loved cats, visiting extended family in Kentucky, traveling with friends, and beach and mountain vacations. One of her favorite subjects to talk about was the unique experience of growing up on a thoroughbred racehorse farm in Lexington. She also loved attending her grandson’s high school theatre performances and her granddaughter’s dance recitals from preschool through high school. Family vacations to Disney World held special memories for her. Mrs. Engle is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Billy R. Engle, daughter; Robin Virtue (husband Tom Virtue); her grandchildren Grant Virtue and Kara Virtue. Her parents, Bill and Alice Bugg, preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM Saturday July 20, 2019 at Island View Baptist Church, 900 Park Ave Orange Park, Florida 32073.
