Pedro Rivera Torres

Pedro Rivera Torres, age 77, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. He was born on January 23, 1947 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Rosa Torres and Santiago Rivera, Sr. Pedro attended Benjamin High School in New York City. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army. He was deployed as a Combat Medic in support of the Armed Force Expeditionary Team to the Dominican Republic in 1965. After his service in the military he entered into the Finance industry where he worked for over 20 years as a member of the Collection Department. He was a devout fan of the New York Yankees and he was known by his sense of humor. Pedro is preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Agustin Rivera and Santiago (Papo) Rivera and sister Antonia Rivera. He is survived by his loving and devoted children; Lisa Rivera and Peter Rivera, brother Santiago (Chago) Rivera, Jr., sisters; Theresa Silva, Sandra Santiago, Luzelenia (Elena) Santiago and her spouse Angel (Tato) Santiago, grandson Etienne Ayende and granddaughter Aerial Rivera along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Pedro will be remembered for his love of his family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home located at 3601 Old Middleburg, Florida 32068 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held from 10:00 -11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery located at 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218 at 1:30 pm. (Lane 3).
