Monica Cardinale of Orange Park, Florida passed away on June 18, 2024. She was born in Buffalo, New York on September 19, 1956 to the late Sam and Christine (Carmina) Cardinale. She had met her wife there over thirty years ago in Buffalo, NY. Monica had a servants heart and always rooted for the underdog. Her passion of caring blossomed into a career of teaching. Monica had obtained her Master Degree in Special Education, a Bachelor's Degree of Education, and a Bachelor's Degree in Administration. Monica understood the value of education and how it can change the world one child at a time. She worked for many years as a Special Education Teacher at PS 048 at Martin Luther King Cultural Institute in Buffalo. Her tinder love and boisterous pride for HER kids never waived. Monica and Sheila's next chapter involved a move to Florida to be near family. Their new adventure had began. Monica was easy going and enjoyed life's simple pleasures. They were international travelers, but their favorite place was always home. Monica's hobbies included; card making, gardening, cooking, puzzles, and being a novice sommelier. She survived by her loving and devoted wife of 9 years Sheila Williams, sister Donna Browne (Patrick), nieces; Rachel Grimes (Allen), Robin Toole, and Erica Jeffers (Ira); great nieces and nephews; Kylie, Kira, Brandon, Colin and Vance, and a special fur baby K.C.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024 11:00 a.m. at the Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, located at 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, Florida 32068. Visitation will be held one hour prior. A reception will follow at noon at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, Florida 32068.
