Mrs. Lee Ann Gray, age 78, went home to be with her Saviour on Friday, December 29, 2023. Born February 11, 1945, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Lee Ann is remembered as being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lee Ann’s life was a life of devotion. She was a loving wife to her husband of 58 years. She was a devoted mother to her four children and a devoted grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Lee Ann also lived a life devoted to her Saviour. Serving as a pastor’s wife for 33 years, she served others in a variety of capacities. She also sang in the choir for many years until her health prevented her from doing so. Thousands of ladies were influenced not only by her example but also from her teaching at church, college, and conference events. Lee Ann was a soul winner and shared her husband’s passion for reaching the lost. She was also an author whose books speak of her eternal outlook and focus on her Saviour.
While her last many years were filled with surgeries, sickness, and ailments, she continued to support her husband’s ministry any way that she could including through her encouragement and prayer. Inseparable from Bob since she was sixteen years old, Lee Ann was a faithful ally to her husband’s calling and ministry. Those who knew her knew she lived her life verse of Psalms 119:165, “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and her granddaughter, Katie. She is survived by her husband Bob(known to her as Glynn) her children, Kim(Mark), Bob II (Kelly), Karen (Tim), and Scott (Jenny); 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Lee Ann Gray was loved by many and will be missed. She has left a legacy of faithfulness and love. Her faith has become sight. “For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (II Corinthians 5:7)
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 12046 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL with visitation held 1 hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park, Middleburg, FL.
