Katherine J. Murray

Katherine J. Murray passed away peacefully on February 4, 2018, at the age of 69. Katherine was born on November 21, 1948 and is predeceased by her parents John Rance Dowling Sr. and Wanda Baughtknight, her sister Martha Dowling and her daughter Donna York. She is survived by her loving husband Sandy Murray, of 44 years and her siblings Johnny Dowling, Jimmy Dowling and Louretta Crews. She is also survived by her children Amanda Webb, Michael South, Ricky South, Anna Locascio, Lori Rhein and 12 grandchildren Callie Webb, Michael Scott Jr, Brandon South, Aaron South, Austin South, Misty South, Kyle York, Kurtis York, Crystal Ferguson, Mitchell Rhein, Zachary Rhein and Kaela Simard and 7 great grandchildren Tera Harrison, Sandra Ferguson, Ezra Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, Liam York, Stevie Rae South and Gaige Scott Wilson. She also has a great extended family to include Kathy and Paul Bourg and their children Katelynn and Taylor and the extensive family of the Cherokee Tribe of Georgia. Katherine was a member of American Legion Riders, Legion Auxiliary and Cherokee of Georgia. She was loved by so many close friends and relatives that made her life what it was. She was a wonderful woman who brought a smile to everyone who crossed her path and will be missed by many.
