Jerry Strickland Driggers, 87, passed away on April 24, 2020 in Fleming Island, FL. She was born in Calvary, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Sara Jane Strickland as well as her husband of over 50 years Semual Lorenzo Driggers. She received her business degree from Jones College and was a kindergarten teacher in her early years. Jerry had a passion for painting. She loved painting ceramics and nature scenes. She enjoyed camping and gardening. Jerry was also an avid reader. Jerry was a bigger than life personality that found joy in everything. She was also known to be able to out talk anyone who dared to engage her in conversation. Mrs. Driggers will be dearly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her son, Michael Driggers; brother, Howard Lamar; sister, Leona Dale Herrig; 3 grandchildren: Erin Baker, Tierney Olive and Ashley Nugent; 6 great-grandchildren: Gavin Baker, Haydon Olive, Reghan Baker, Payton Olive, Atleigh Knapp and Conner Nugent; and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM, Friday, May 1, 2020 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL with Rev. Rick Crews officiating.
