I want everyone to know how much fun I had playing with Elaine she taught me how to play football, baseball and basketball. We went to the zoo a lot and the circus every year for my birthday. Elaine played with us all the time, she taught me to ride my bike we went on a lot of bike rides together, before I could ride a bike she pulled me behind her bike in a cart.

I want everyone to know that Elaine, Meme,Tristen and I picked blackberries together as a family it was our adventure. Elaine helped us get our new home and took us to the Monster Jam, we watched movies and danced together, we spent hours building blocks together.We had so much fun together playing flash cards and game cards. If I got hurt Elaine would always kiss m boo-boos and make it better. Elaine would pull me in the wagon and we would take long walks we had so much fun together.

My heart breaks to learn that God has taken another beautiful angel from our lives. Elaine, you were truly a blessing to everyone that got to know you. I am thankful that you became such a huge part of our family. I will miss you terribly and I'm so sorry that I never got the chance to tell you just how much I loved and respected you. Even though you never knew it, you played an extremely important part in my life. You will be missed. Prayers and love go out to the family. You were always my 2nd mom. Love always Nichole Batten

Elaine you were truly a blessing to our grandchildren Tristen & Anola. Nicole truly loved and respected you so much. When I look at this picture of you, I remember that smile and your laughter. I know when you would play with Kayleigh here, she loved having your attention, always wanting to compete with Tristen & Anola for that attention. I remember you sitting in here watching them play wrestle and egging her on to get her big brother. I will always cherish those memories and so look forward to seeing you all together again. Until that time you will truly be missed. I thank you for the love you showed to my daughter and the kids & the example that you and Sherry set for them. Until we meet again, you will truly be missed.

Sherry, Tristen, Anola, Jamey, A.J. and the entire Batten/Kerley family. I just want to offer my deepest sympathy and love to the family. I know words can't express the deep loss and sorrow that you are all experiencing now. I want to let you know very important Elaine and all of you have been to our family. I can't explain how very much respect and appreciation I had for Elaine and have for you Sherry. Hopefully you both knew how very much Nicole loved you both and how special you were to her. She chose both of you to care for Tristen and Anola because she knew what a loving family you were and that Elaine and you were the epitome of what she wanted for them. Elaine lovingly agreed to this request and took on this role as you did. Elaine and you always put their needs and wants first. I know there were fun times and very special memories that were made throughout the years. I pray those along with the knowledge that you will see her again may be of some comfort to the family.
