Clifton (Lonny) Lawrence Portier, age 77, of Middleburg, Florida passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024. He was born an raised in Jacksonville, FL to the late Ozzie and Marie Portier. Lonny served his country proudly serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Tropical Iron and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Lonny was a lifetime member of West Park Street Church of God.
Lonny is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Portier; son, Chip Portier of Middleburg; daughters: Onna Whitley of Middleburg and Jessica Nelson of Middleburg; 7 grandchildren: Brittany, Tyler, Ciara, Jordan, Halle, Hayden and Max; 3 great-grandchildren: Odessa, Kash and Layton; brother, John Portier and sister, Saundra Gayle Portier and a host of extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 PM, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, (LANE 1) 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL with military honors.
