Carlos Alberto “Carlis” Betancourt, 30, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. Carlos was born in Quito, Ecuador to Luis and Miriam Betancourt. Carlos was a loving son, caring brother to Kevin and Emily, extremely affectionate to his entire family. He was a fun and witty human being all around.
Carlos graduated from Middleburg High School in 2009 in Middleburg, FL. He was a fighter, as he was a cancer survivor, twice. Even through this difficult time, Carlos was cheerful and very optimistic; he would be the one offering hope to those that visited him by saying “I’ll be just fine”. Carlos was never without a smile on his face. He was a shrewd business man that started his own company as his passion was cars and mechanic. He was a hard worker and loved by every life he touched. Carlos was a God-fearing young man, who gave much love and affection to everyone in his life.
Carlos loved all kind of music, dancing, the beach, he loved pranking his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a shining bright light. Carlos enjoyed riding on his Harley with his brother as well as many other things he lived life to the fullest.
Carlos was survived by his parents, Luis and Miriam Betancourt; by his brother, Kevin and his sister, Emily. Also, by his paternal grandparents, Segundo and Julia; his maternal grandparents, Patricio and Miriam; by his step grandfather, Eddy; his step grandmother Ana; his girlfriend and her son; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins who Carlos was very close to and loved very much all of them.
