Billy Wayne Smith, age 68, passed away June 25, 2012. He was born in Brooksville, FL and moved to Clay County in 1976. Mr. Smith was a graduate of Lee High School 1962, a US Air Force veteran, was employed by Mercedes Benz for 35 years, an Elder at Black Creek Church of Christ, and was a member of the Gator Club. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Glenda Smith, son Brandon “B.J.” Smith (Kathryn), 2 brothers Jackie and Jimmy Smith and sister Ann Maloy. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Lakeside Church of Christ with Minister Stephen Atnip officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Rd. Middleburg, FL 32068. Interment will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
