My name is Jason and I apologize for the late memory! I was in the hospital for 2 months.
I worked at the Lane ave ABC in Jax, and I would speak or see Ant everyday! I used to razz him all of the time when he would answer the phone with the “it’s a beautiful day” greeting!  We had some great times together. 
After leaving ABC for a roofing contractor, I would see him everyday again! 
Every time him and I were in the same building, I was no longer the shortest guy there! 
He was a great guy and will be missed!

I had the pleasure to know Anthony  for many years through business. He was a wonderful guy and never failed to bring a smile to my face.  His family is in our prayers here at Millennium Metals. 

It always made your day better to be greeted by Anthony as a customer or a friend.  The many times I played golf with the 'Ant Man' are cherished memories.  While not the most accomplished golfer in the world, one incident stays fresh in my memory.  Anthony was on the t-box ready to drive the ball when he swatted it and the ball traveled 90 degrees off its intended path striking John Gilmore, standing next to the golf cart on his hip.  Needless to say we howled about it and never let him forget about it.  Ant Man you made this world a far better place.  He will be remembered long past this day.

I worked with Ant ~Man for the last 5 years  at ABC supply.  He will missed . God speed .

Sorry for the longish memory... I met Anthony when I started at ABC Jacksonville in the summer of 1996 as Assistant Mgr. Anthony was a Driver of one of the Conveyor Trucks at the time. I rode with Anthony as a helper on the truck for a week that summer just to get an idea of what he had to deal with day in and day out. Thank God I was in much better shape then than I am now because that was the hardest week physically I have ever had with ABC Supply! During that week, Ant Man told me of his desire to get off the truck and roof because of his knee issues. We made a pact that week that if he didn't tell anyone at the branch that I sucked as a helper, I would help him learn the products and work with him in Sales. A few months later we got him into Inside Sales and he excelled. He quickly became the branch expert in metal roofing. He was a pleasure to work with and always put a smile on my face. I was heartbroken to learn of his passing and am still a bit in shock. We are all better to have known Anthony and the Angels are better now that they have met him. It will forever be a beautiful day for you my brother and friend. Rest In Peace!

Working with Anthony was always  "A beautiful day at ABC". He was the encyclopedia of roofing.  His knowledge was beyond helpful to me and to many others at the branch. He was kind and courteous and had a ton of patience with homeowners, contractors and co-workers.  His kind soul will be remembered by all who met him.  It is a sad thing to consider we will no longer see his face, but the thought of him continuing to help us from beyond brings me peace.  Anthony, now you can exclaim every day, "It's a beautiful day!" and it truly will be.  Rest in peace, my friend.

I remember when I first started working for ABC and one of the teams were Anthony and Scott . Talk about casting for the movies twins. Poor Ant had to drive with a box of coil nails behind him to reach everything correctly . It was such a please to work along side him and then watch him grow with the company. He loved ABC, it’s customers and fellow associates. One of my proudest moments was when he and Willie went on the Alaskan cruise, man talk about a fish out of water. He had a great time. When my daughter Emily went through all her medical problems at memorial hospital and Terri would drive in from dothan , one thing she said she enjoyed was to go down to the branch and see her second “family” She said was always concerned to see if she needed anything. Ant you will truly be missed and it won’t seem the same without you.

It's hard for me to imagine that Ant Man is gone. I'm absolutely certain that he is in a better place. Many memories have came to me in the last few days. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off of his back for someone in need. I loved to have him answer the phone at ABC. "It's a beautiful day here at ABC, Anthony speaking, how can I help you". Although his golf game left a little bit to be desired, it was always a blast watching him on the course. Another fond memory is the many times that he screwed up a customer's order. It was so funny to hear him say over the phone "I apologise for that... No Worries". Rest in peace my friend. Thank you for making the world a little better place to be.

What a great guy! I personally had the best time with him and Willie on a Alaska cruise! (Donna) 😜 and John  learned to watch out when Anthony was hitting the golf ball when they played. (Hah)  
Anthony was just a great guy, fun to be around, smiling through it all. I can’t even tell you how much this man will be missed!!  His energy, his thoughtfulness, his contagious smile all gone  way too soon!  Rip Ant, 💔

I meant John through my husband who is now past 2 at the age of 47 they were kind of close couldn't have asked for a better man and believe me I know what his wife is going through I just lost him three months ago it's very very hard and sad I used to love when my husband and him would come to the house and he was always so happy and smiling never a dull moment and I wish my condolence to his family I love all of y'all and hope you can have a good service for him

Mr. Johns is survived by his wife, Charlotte Kennedy Johns; father, Wayne Johns Sr.; son: Brandon Tyler Johns and his partner Brandon Licea. 3 daughters: Amber Nicole and husband Scott Stevens, Brittany Lynn Brooks and Alexis Ryanne Johns; 5 step-daughters: Breanna Schreffler, Alexandra Schreffler, Theresa Kennedy, Madison Kennedy and Hollee Kennedy; 2 brothers: Billy Johns and Marcus W and wife Heather Johns. 3 grandchildren: Bella Stevens, Presley Stevens and Sapphir Self; and a host of extended family and friends.
