Allan (Jay) Hollers, was born in Ferguson Kentucky on August 5, 1934 to Lilia Hinkle and James Hollers. He graduated from Ferguson High School in 1955, and then entered the Navy a few years later. He served his country for 26 years, fighting in the Korean War and was a Chief Petty officer when he retired. After retirement, Jay spent a lot of time at the DAV helping disabled veterans complete the required documents to receive their benefits.
Jay is survived by his first wife, Carol Ann Yeoman, and their three children, Shelly Boyd, Duane Hollers and Allan Hollers, along with 10 grandchildren. Later in 1982, he married his second wife, Leonyte Hays, who he would stay married to until her passing in 2012. Surviving stepchildren from his second marriage are; Jack Hays, Judy Morgan, Cheryl Guyton, Karen Woodham, Debbie Hays, and Angie Yost.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Sunday, September 8, 2019, with Visitation starting at 10:00am, at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068. Graveside services at Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, KY at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068.
