He was born November 27th, 1945 to Josiah and Odessa Troup of Miamisburg, raising his family and living most of his life in Miamisburg.
Toby was a Miamisburg High School Class of 1963 graduate. He served the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1972 in Colorado Springs, CO and Great Falls, MT as a nuclear weapons specialist/technician. He was a mechanical electrical engineer for many years for M&M, Dorsey-Alexander, and Knight Controls. Toby was very involved in ministry and outreach. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing for the church groups he attended. He served as a music lead, amongst other capacities for organizations such as Via de Cristo, Emmaus, and Kairos (prison outreach). Toby also volunteered as a Chaplain in the Kettering Medical Network’s Spiritual Services Department, helping patients directly with visitations, prayer, and other spiritual needs. He could often be found in his free time gardening or reading. Toby’s other interests included photography, movies, music, and tech. Toby was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, and was always ready with a joke.
He is survived by his wife, Sandi Troup; daughters Shawna (Gavin) Wright, Kristen (Timothy) Roseberry, Erin (James) Bryson; grandchildren Gabrielle and Andrew Roseberry; and brother, Mike (Barb) Troup.
Toby was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jack (Carole) Troup.
